• NON-UNIFORM - 23.6.23

  Non-uniform ‘Bring a Bottle’ day

  Tomorrow, Friday 23^rd June is a non-uniform day in school. We would appreciate it, if instead of a donation of money, parents/ carers could send in a bottle of some description (alcohol, soft drinks, toiletries) or some sweets (preferably not chocolate, because of the weather) for our summer fair tombola the following week.

  Please note if donating alcohol this must be brought in by an adult and handed to an adult in school.

• SCHOOL GROUP PHOTOGRAPHS - 19TH MAY 2023

  REMINDER:

  The School Photography Company will be in school this Friday 19th May to take group/class photographs.  Children will be having a traditional one and Expression photograph taken.  Please ensure that your child is wearing a white shirt with a navy cardigan/jumper.  Thank you.

• KING CHARLES III CORONATION PICNIC

  We will be having a special Coronation Day on Thursday 4th May to celebrate the coronation of King Charles III.

   

  Children are encouraged to dress patriotically in the colours of red, white & blue.

   

  The kitchen will be providing children who order a school meal with a Royal themed picnic grab a bag.

   

  Weather permitting we are hoping to have a picnic outside at lunch time, so please send a blanket for your child to sit on if possible.

  

• EASTER ACTIVITES

  Barnsley Museums is offering a range of fun family activities over the Easter holidays – the majority of these are free and entry to all of our sites is free of charge, and can provide warm spaces for families during the cost of living crisis. • ADVERSE WEATHER CONDITIONS

  Dear parents/ carers

   

  We have made the decision to postpone today's parents' evening until next week.

   

  School is open as usual today. However, the Met Office has issued an amber weather warning for later today, with a risk of 'heavy snowfall and  potentially serious disruption'.

   

   The safety of our children, families and staff is always our first priority.

   

  Although we are not closed at present, it may be advisable to have alternative arrangements  in place for collecting your child/children for if we are forced to close later in the day.

• WORLD BOOK DAY - THURSDAY 2ND MARCH

  Following on from last year's success and our whole school focus on developing language, we are asking that children come dressed to represent a word or phrase.  This could be something simple such as dressing in yellow to represent sunshine.  It could also be the name of a character from a book's name so children could wear a costume they already have.

    

  We also know that some children will enjoy putting a lot of creativity into coming up with their language themed outfit.

• PARENTS' EVENINGS - 8th and 9th March 2023

  We will be emailing letters out to parents on the 28th February introducing our new online system for booking appointments for Parents' evenings which will be taking place next Wednesday and Thursday.

   

  The online booking system will be going live on Wednesday 1st March.

• BURGER DAY 9.2.23

  We will be having a burger day on Thursday 9th February instead of cottage pie.  This dinner option should be changing shortly on your Meal Manager account.  Thank you.
