We know the importance of learning times tables at Gawber. Therefore, alongside our whole class teaching of times tables, we provide many extra interventions for our pupils. Our school is a 'caring fam
ily school' which means that our older children enjoy helping our younger children. Some of our Y6 children take on the role of maths leaders. They help support some of our younger children in school with their maths skills such as times tables. The Y6 leaders love to help their peers and have a really positive impact. They take their roles very seriously and know the importance of key number facts in children's maths journeys throughout school.
Times Table Leaders
Some of our year 4 children are so passionate about times tables that they enjoy inspiring and supporting other children in developing their knowledge. They work with year 3 and 4 pupils every day helping them learn their times tables and helping them to develop their instant recall.
