Impact of the Maths Curriculum

Impact of our Maths curriculum

By the time our children leave Gawber, they are fluent in the fundamental of mathematics. They are able to recall and apply their knowledge quickly and accurately to a range of problems with increasing complexity. Children can solve routine and non-routine problems and can break them down into more simple steps. Our children show great resilience when seeking solutions.

Gawber children can reason mathematically when solving problems. They can identify relationships, make generalisations and justify their reasoning using mathematical language. Children become competent in solving problems and make connections across areas of maths.

Our children leave Gawber with a positive attitude towards maths and are aware of its importance in everyday life and its place in the world of work.
