The Impact of the Languages Curriculum at Gawber

Impact of the Languages Curriculum at Gawber

By the time children leave Gawber Primary School, they understand and respond to spoken and written Spanish from a variety of sources. Our children speak with confidence, fluency and spontaneity, finding ways of communicating what they want to say, including through discussion and asking questions, and continually improving the accuracy of their pronunciation and intonation.

By the end of KS2, children can write at varying length, for different purposes and audiences, using the variety of grammatical structures that they have learnt. They have an appreciation of the Spanish Language knowing that learning Spanish helps to equip our children with the knowledge and cultural capital they need to succeed in life.

Gawber children also appreciate and celebrate difference and by experiencing a well-planned, progressive Spanish curriculum, our children move to the next stage of their education with the foundational knowledge needed for learning further languages.

¡A los niños de Gawber les encanta aprender español!
